PTFE Coated Fabrics

Coated Fabrics from Saint-Gobain are available in many unique materials, including PTFE coated and laminated fabrics, PTFE Belting and Release Sheets, and customized components.

Unique performance properties across the range include non-stick release, friction control, insulation dielectric control, barrier protection, extreme temperature resistance, strength, and flexibility. Customized components can be developed to fulfill various criteria – including weight, space and cost savings, energy efficiency, and environmental protection.

Antistatic & Tear Resistant

Tear-resistant PTFE-coated woven fiberglass fabric is extremely flexible, crease-resistant, and easily fabricated. The antistatic version features all the excellent chemical and mechanical benefits of the range and is also black – eliminating electrical sparks and static charging. Both choices are durable and easy to use.

Beta Cloth

Beta Cloth is a fiberglass fabric with an extremely tight weave – making it an ideal protective layer in aerospace applications. This composite has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is woven internally then coated with PTFE. With low off-gassing, it’s ideally suited to applications on satellites and space stations.

Heavy Belting

The strength and rigidity of this VERSIVbelting fabric make it ideally suited for large belts or those operating in harsh, high-temperature or high-volume environments. Mechanically stable under pressure and thermally stable up to 500˚F (260˚C), it offers great release characteristics. Made up of high-quality PTFE coating on a woven glass fiber substrate, the fabric comes with a range of controlled texture options.

Open Mesh & Porous

Our woven fiberglass comes in either open mesh or porous styles. With open mesh, you get large windows (¼ inch x ¼ inch/6.35×6.35mm)) to allow specific airflow through your dryer belt. Porous products are tightly woven fabrics that are lightly coated with PTFE to allow airflows of 5 – 60 CFM.

TCK Coated Aramid

Used in open mesh dryer belt applications and fabrics where high tensile and tear resistance are essential, TCK Coated Aramid is ideal for moist or wet environments. Extremely resistant to strength loss after flex folding and lighter weight styles retain their strength.
